Hi Vrinda, even though your story wasn’t published I am sure you are touching a lot of minds and hearts by sharing it on this forum. I was horrified to hear off how bluntly and unprofessionally you were treated by so called ‘professionals’ during the examination, ensuing into a grave violation of your dignity, autonomy and resulting in physical and psychological harm. I hope that your speaking up raises awareness around recognising how violation of women’s bodies can come in many forms. xxx

Hi Vrinda –
Your mom’s friend Jean Schwartz (from NEC) here. I am very sorry to read of your ordeals, all of them. I have to agree that other women can be the WORST in matters like this. I don’t know why, but I suspect it has to do with trying to conceal their own feelings of insecurity about a whole variety of things. It’s a shame that the article wasn’t published as it would surely have helped someone out in cyberspace to perhaps stand up for herself. Keep up your good work and best wishes to you!
